In supporting Coach Busher, Scott Johnson, his one time assistant and now Cheyenne Mountain head girls’ coach said “I can speak to his honor, integrity, and character, as well as how he instilled each of these in the players he coached…”
One of his former players said of Coach Busher after he visited her in the hospital (the only Cheyenne Mountain teacher to do so) following heart surgery that “it touched me in ways that I cannot explain, but I know it was a genuine gesture from his soul to come and see one of his players lying in bed attached to multiple machines. This is a very intense memory I will always cherish in my heart.”
An opposing coach remarked that “Jack was a mentor and model for him for the past 10 years, as Coach Busher always had his teams prepared to the fullest. He was always willing to advocate for not only his players but for other school’s players and teams.”
Coach Jack Busher was always there for his players, team, school, and soccer across the State of Colorado.
