I hope you are all having a great summer. Special thanks to all the girls coaches who were able to attend the all state meeting in June!
I wanted to get out a couple of reminders.
First, the Coaches Association All State Soccer game will take place this coming Tuesday, July 11th at Lakewood Memorial Field. The stadium is just to the west of Wadsworth on 10th Street.
The boys game will begin at 5pm and the girls game will begin at 7pm. We will also be recognizing Jay Engeln with the Fifer Award in between games. We would love to see you all in attendance to support this great event. Please bring your CHSCA Card and or school ID and you and a guest will be admitted free. Please sign in at the Player/Coach Check in table inside the main gate. We would love a great turnout to support this event! Please share this info with anyone who might be interested 12 and under are free and adults/seniors are $5.00. Proceeds from the game help fund our scholarship program.
Second, the CHSCA Multi Sport clinic will take place July 28th and July 29th at the Radisson hotel in Aurora. In addition, our field sessions will be just down the road at Smoky Hill High School. Please see the schedule at http://www.colohsca.org/page/show/3365016-multisport-clinic
There will great coaching sessions at the hotel along with the CHSAA Soccer rules clinic and update as well as concussion training. We will have 2 afternoon field sessions on Friday and 3 sessions on Saturday which includes a coaches road table for lunch in between the two field sessions. Our field session schedule is being finalized and I will push out an update the end of next week. In the meantime, make sure you register for an account on the new chsca website as well as sign up for the clinic and renew your membership. I hope to see you all there!
Last, I once again want to thank you for all you do for your programs and your commitment to supporting high school soccer as well as your time you give to the above mentioned events. Following the all state game and in conjunction with the multi sport clinic my term will be complete and Justin Stephens from Fort Collins HS will be taking over as our soccer president, Sean Stedeford will be moving into the role of President Elect and Krista Pearman will be our secretary.
